What to Expect
FAQS
What time should I arrive at church
Worship hour is at 10:30 a.m., and we suggest that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to worship to park, interact with greeters and members of the congregation, and perhaps grab a cup of coffee.
What should I expect in terms of worship
God wants us to “make a joyful shout to the LORD” (Psalm 100:1). There is noset style of worship that defines Forest Presbyterian. We often sing worshipsongs, but we love old hymns too! We encourage you to join with us as we raise our voices to glorify our Savior!
Pastor Beth often preaches a sermon series with stand alone sermons that are challenging and call us to live with Christ’s heart, hands and voice in the context of everyday life
How should I dress
We have no dress code, and our congregation comes to church wearing anything from T-shirts and jeans to dresses and suits.
Will you serve communion. Am I welcome.
We share Communion on the first Sunday of each month as well as specialoccasions such as Easter and Christmas Eve. Anyone who is seeking to knowJesus as Lord and Savior is welcome.
Will I have the chance to fellowship with other believers
Before every Sunday service, our Commons area is open for fellowship. Wewelcome you to chat with other Believers and share a cup of coffee.
Are there teaching opportunities prior to worship
An Adult Sunday class meets at 9 a.m. and utilizes a study from the Revised Common lectionary. This class meets in the lower level of the church facility.
Do you offer children’s ministry
During the Passing of the Peace at the 10:30 a.m. service, children age K-5thgrade are dismissed for Children’s Chapel – a time where a Bible story is shared utilizing the Godly Play Curriculum. This curriculum prepares a child to create sacred space in their lives to build a relationship with Jesus.
